Casa de Casey Children’s Home
Cheri McCullah
At the age of 4, Cherie started working in the nursery at her church and has always loved working with children. She was raised in a Christian home with parents that were very mission minded. She felt called to the mission field in her early 20′s and had been taking missions trips since then. It was about that time she dreamed about a group of children in a room and knew from that time on that she would be working in an orphanage.
Cherie’s involvement with Hogar de Vida Children’s Home, in Atenas expanded her dream to provide an adolescent home for those who would need a place to transition to after reaching age 12. After much work on a home in Atenas, and mounds of paperwork and approvals from the government she opened her home to two sibling groups who are now able to stay together because of her efforts.
